The-Fort-ProjectNot long ago Kelly Burgess hosted The Fort Project. She asked people to participate by creating a fort and filling it with things that were special, meaningful or valuable to them. Here’s her description of the project:

The fort project is a series of environmental portraits. I asked individuals to “construct a fort and fill it with what you love.” I referred to the structures as forts because I wanted people to begin thinking about concentrating their space and about self-containment, and forts are the first private spaces that most people create for themselves.

Flickr Fridays, Autumn Treats Edition

I have been craving salted caramels for the last few days and finally *successfully* made a batch today after two failed attempts. They are absolutely delicious, so in honor of that personal victory, I thought I’d share these incredible photos with you. I love great food photography, don’t you? It inspires me to get back in the kitchen. :)
