This Week: Create a Sacred Space for Your Creativity

My timing writing this morning’s post is incredibly ironic, as my own creative space is filled with boxes and files and items to be shipped. Rather than writing in my own designated creative space, I am sitting with my laptop at my kitchen table.

Even in times of transition, or when we’re on the road, or we’re otherwise not in control of our locations, it is still possible to create a sacred space for your creativity. Here are a few ways that I am practicing this tip this week:

5-Things-IconThis has been a great week, full of so many exciting and encouraging turns of events. I am more thankful for you, my readers, than ever. Without you, this blog wouldn’t be here, and we wouldn’t be growing the way that we are. I am more inspired every day to bring you better content, authenticity, and the kinds of resources I, too, need every day to stay inspired and creative. My friend Keli over at Kidnapped by Suburbia introduced her readers this week to a beautiful photography technique knows as bokeh – but more specifically, holiday light bokeh. In honor of the tree lighting at Rockefeller Center in New York City tonight, I thought I’d post this beautiful … Continue Reading

HTBAI-Product-ImageI am very excited to announce the release of the eBook version of the How to Be an Innovator Series. This was an incredible series to write and helped me grow personally in so many ways. It also tended to garner the most comments and build the greatest sense of community here at Creative Perch. I think this was mostly because we are all growing, trying to be better, trying to be our best each day. And we want our creative work to reflect our best.
