This Week: Experiment with Oops Paint

Oops paint is one of my favorite artistic mediums, but it is often overlooked. In case you’re unfamiliar with it, oops paint is simply paint that was mixed incorrectly or not according to a customer’s expectation, returned to the store, and sold at a steep discount. You can often find quart sizes for $3 and gallons for $5. I have an artist friend who repaints the rooms in her home frequently with just oops paint.

Oops paint offers a really inexpensive way to experiment with new colors without breaking your budget. And it’s more versatile that you would think – you can use it to paint walls, of course, but also to paint furniture or create canvas artwork.

Have you tried working with oops paint? What have you created?
